My memoir, I’ll Take It From Here, traces three pivotal phases of my adult life—marrying the father of my children and living through that fairytale unraveling, seeking refuge in the arms of someone who promised to heal me but only deepened my wounds, and finally, my journey toward self-love, resilience, and healing.
Through themes of childhood trauma and intimate partner abuse—which can happen to even the most seemingly successful and strong-willed people—but also growth, resilience, and the power of self-reclamation, I explore how our past shapes our choices, how pain becomes a familiar pattern, and, most importantly, how we can break free. This is a story of unlearning, of finding strength in the wreckage, and of reclaiming the life we are meant to live. It is about discovering that healing is not just possible—it is inevitable when we choose ourselves.
That being said, amidst the unraveling of Act 1: The Prince, one of the most profound moments was the birth of my first son. Something that should have been beautiful and strengthened the bond with my husband. But life often has other plans. Here is an exclusive excerpt from that chapter, shared only with my paid subscribers. Thank you for reading.
